Zoya Belovaaka LOVAOYA, musician, sound artist, performance artist, developed the project DOOMSCROLLINGduring her residency together with Maria Terentieva. The project interweavesmaterials from her family’s photo archive with so-called field recordingscollected over the past three years in various locations. The work explores theinterfaces between the internet, communication, and precarity throughelectronic sounds, voices, and other manipulations.

Usingdeconstruction, cut-up methods, and deep listening practices, I immerse myselfin routine, memory, and trance states. Field recordings, web and gadget sounds,as well as vocal textures—whispers, breathing sounds, melodic fragments—arelooped and layered to create a sense of fragmentation and intimacy.
